Free entrance for the blind and visually impaired
Guided visit : € 35 (maximum 4 visually impaired and 4 supervisors)
Reservation : Educational and cultural Service
The guided visits for the visually impaired are always with a guide of the Educational and cultural Service. We advice You to reserve one month in advance.
The entrance for the wheelchairusers is close to the main entrance Albert-Elisabeth.
Guide dogs are allowed.
Tuesday - friday : 9.30 am - 5 pm
Saturday and sunday : 10 am - 5 pm
Closed on Monday and the following holidays : 01/01, 01/05, 01/11, 11/11 and 25/12
Front offices close at 4 pm
Attention : the 24th and 31st of December (except on a Monday) the museums close at 4 pm and the front offices at 3 pm.
Les collections visibles aux musées du Cinquantenaire se regroupent sous quatre thèmes : l’antiquité, l’archéologie nationale, les arts décoratifs européens et les civilisations non européennes. En outre, le parc qui entoure les musées est un îlot de verdure très reposant.
From Tuesday to Friday from 09h30 till 17h00 and Saturday and Sunday from 10h00 till 17h00. The collections visible in the museum of the Cinquantenaire are distributed over four themes: antiquity, national archaeology, European decorative arts and non-European civilisations. What is more, the park surrounding the museums is a very relaxing heaven of greenery.
access through the esplanade where you can easily park your car. The esplanade is covered in big paving stones. The park is accessible but requests assistance to travel through the alleys.
the entrance for persons in a wheelchair is through a side entrance, a bell allows you to call a staff member which will guide you to an elevator.
with different elevators(smaller then 1.20 m) you can reach all levels inside the museum.
for the permanent collections audio guides are available. Discover Egypt, America, the Gothic - Renaissance- Baroque circuit, the room of the Art of the Islamic World and the room of the Roman and Mosan Art in different languages. Just ask at the reception, the audio guides are included in the entrance price.
There is also one adapted room for the blind and visually disabled. To visit it, we recommend you to contact the educative service in advance.
toilets are on the ground floor nearby the rotunda. One accessible toilet in the ladies and one in the gentsroom. The doors are 0.95 cm, not dubble though well structured
