From Tuesday to Friday from 09h30 till 17h00 and Saturday and Sunday from 10h00 till 17h00. The collections visible in the museum of the Cinquantenaire are distributed over four themes: antiquity, national archaeology, European decorative arts and non-European civilisations. What is more, the park surrounding the museums is a very relaxing heaven of greenery.
Main access:
access through the esplanade where you can easily park your car. The esplanade is covered in big paving stones. The park is accessible but requests assistance to travel through the alleys.
Entrance:
the entrance for persons in a wheelchair is through a side entrance, a bell allows you to call a staff member which will guide you to an elevator.
Visit:
with different elevators(smaller then 1.20 m) you can reach all levels inside the museum.
for the permanent collections audio guides are available. Discover Egypt, America, the Gothic - Renaissance- Baroque circuit, the room of the Art of the Islamic World and the room of the Roman and Mosan Art in different languages. Just ask at the reception, the audio guides are included in the entrance price.
There is also one adapted room for the blind and visually disabled. To visit it, we recommend you to contact the educative service in advance.
Toilets:
toilets are on the ground floor nearby the rotunda. One accessible toilet in the ladies and one in the gentsroom. The doors are 0.95 cm, not dubble though well structured
